QUILT GROUP 2010

January -
We went to Teresa's home for a class on obtaining and using coupons.

February
We made baby blankets at Laura's home.

March
We saw the movie "The Blind Side" at Sheri's home

June
We traveled to Betty's home to made 4th of July decorations and pins and enjoyed a delicious brunch on her deck.

August
We went to Sheri's home to enjoy healthy treats and learned to crochet hats.

September
We went to Emma Lou's home to continue our crocheted hats and headbands.

October
We drove along the Alpine Loop to enjoy the beautiful fall colors up to Sundance- walked around Cascade Springs- and drove to Midway for lunch at "The Store".

Thanks Emma Lou- you really outdid yourself tonight - you not only sent us home with fond memories but also made these fragrance diffusers and also gave each of us a homemade vase that Corey made in his pottery class. We know he'll be famous someday so now we each have one of his originals.

These photos are to prove to our children that we don't just get together to talk and eat - although that really is the best part - but we occasionally quilt too.

Success- we actually finished tieing it in one night- it just goes to show what a lot of determination can accomplish.

Since it may be hard to believe that we actually made a quilt- here's the photo to prove it. We tied a green golf print quilt for Benjy's son who will be making his appearance soon.

Emma Lou prepared a delicious feast for our activity - chips, dip,vegetables,crackers, and peppermint pie.

FEBRUARY 2009

Thanks Carlyn for making all of us with February Birthdays feel special with a pizza and salad dinner and birthday cake and ice cream for dessert. This was an especially big month for celebrating as several of us changed decades. Cheryl turned 60 on February 9, Teresa turned 50 on February 5, Laura turned 50 on February 17, and Emma Lou turned somewhere over 60 (she didn't admit to which one) on February 28. What a great group of people to celebrate with. The best part is always sharing the latest news on our lives and this month we really had a very stimulating political discussion as we talked about our concerns with our country and the problems with our economy.

JANUARY 2009

Thanks Teresa for letting us come to your home to visit and make a valentine heart pin from buttons. It was great to spend time getting caught up on everything that's happened to each of us since Christmas. We're such good friends that we never seem to run out of things to discuss.
